This is a decent spot in a nice college town. The decor is industrial and there is plenty of parking as it is located in a strip mall of sorts. We made "reservations" a week in advance due to our party of 13 traveling from all of the state to meet for family Christmas. Once we arrived, 5mins early to boot, it was explained that they don't really accept reservations but it's a "call ahead" policy. We explained that this was not told to us on either occasion that we discussed our reservation over the phone but we were assured that it would be a 25minute wait. We waited at the bar for an hour, thankfully there were 10 bar stools available for most of us to sit. And, the bartenders were most accommodating, attentive and patient! After our hour long wait, with three elementary school aged children, we were seated at our table. It was comfortable and we could all see each other and hear each other. Our orders were taken no problem and our waitress didn't skip a beat when it came to accuracy, kindness, and helpfulness. She truly made the hour long wait worth the service she provided us! Our food was all great, no complaints. We got everything from burgers, to chicken, to noodles, to dessert. Everything was flavorful and fresh. Will try again in the future if in the area and will keep their call ahead seating policy in mind.

Great food, great service. So many unique items on the menu, it will take many more visits to try them all.

Another excellent find. The restaurant is as described, industrial chic. As an added plus they have a rooftop outdoor area. The rooftop area offered fresh air in a comfortable setting. Our service was fast and friendly. Limited beer selection. My wife has diablo pasta and shrimp and she rates it 8 out 10 the sauce was a good match with the shrimp. I enjoyed the Lamb Gyro Burger and while the burger was a good burger I expected more flavor. It was a burger and not Gyros and lacked the salty flavor of Gyros. Overall very nice place.

Fast service. I ordered the Japanese chicken. It is an appetizer but was more than enough for a meal for one. It was gluten free and came with a great sauce.

We were traveling north to the UP of Michigan and found Wood Shop Social on Yelp. We stopped in for lunch. Our server Niki was great - very sweet and very attentive, so that was a great start. We had "The Burger" which was a double patty smash burger and they were fabulous! Done perfectly. The fries that came with were really good too - crispy, salty, delicious! Our compliments to the kitchen! We travel throughout Michigan for work, so we will definitely return to Wood Shop to try more of their food. Thanks for a nice experience!

I always cringe when something gets sold as "world famous." The chicken sandwich isn't "world famous," but it's damn good and so were the fries. The service was great and they have a nice little bar with a good selection of beer.

Do NOT SLEEP on Wood Shop Social! The food is fantastic, be sure to check out the specials that are always changing. We look forward to going back for Sunday Brunch, but in the meantime I'll be dreaming of this Cider Cheesecake!!

First time in, the food is unique and delicious. Started with the Tuna Deviled Egg, amazing! The ahi topped deviled egg was awesome! Great drinks, great atmosphere. Service was top notch.

Amazing food! Amazing service. Clean. Courteous staff - Ali was super. The shirt sold me on the drink. Very Smokey but vert good. Now if they add one of their homemade marshmallows toasted ... it would be over the top.
